Overview
Harris Gardens was purpose built in 2000 as a supported accommodation for people with Learning Disabilities to live as independently as possible.
The accommodation is located just 1 mile from Slough town centre and is within 4-6 minutes walking distance to local shops and amenities. It has good public transport links.
Staff are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide individually tailored support to the customers.
This service is a long term home for adults who have a learning disability and require support with their daily living skills and accessing the community.
This service is registered with the Care Quality Commission under Sir Robert Mews and Your Ability Slough 1-690995076 to provide the regulated activity of personal care.

The areas of support provided but not limited to:
- Administration of medication

Vulnerable adults with an assessed learning disability.
Referrals
All referrals come from Slough Social Services via the Learning Disability Accommodation Panel, or from Care Managers within the Learning Disability Teams.
When we have a vacant flat at Harris Gardens, the Manager informs CTPLD. The Learning Disability Accommodation Panel, or the Care Manager, will send referrals electronically (by email) to the Manager. Once received the Manager will arrange a full needs assessment.
Facilities
It comprises of 7 flats over three floors and each flat has one bedroom, a bathroom and a lounge and kitchen which have provisions for a cooker, hob, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The building has support to hold on when walking on the stairs and the toilets in two of the flats are wheelchair accessible. There is a communal garden and parking for twelve cars.
